At some point in your scrapbooking career you will find a need to use a pen. When you come to this point you need to remember that you cannot use any old pen. As with other things that you use on your scrapbooking page you need to make sure it is acid and lignin free or it might cause deterioration and fading in your photographs and scrapbooking pages.
There are a few different types of scrapbooking pens that you might want to try out. They include things like gels pens, glitter gel pens, watercolour pens, photo markers, red eye pens, ball point pens, calligraphy pens, felt tip pen and the list goes on.
When you go shopping for scrapbooking pens you need to think about what you need the scrapbooking pen or pens for. You may need the scrapbooking pen for journaling, for writing titles, adding colour to embellishments and the list goes on. The main type of pen I use is gel pens. I find these types of pens to be a very versatile scrapbooking pen. I use these scrapbooking pens to add words, titles and journaling to my pages. Gel pens are also great for adding doodles to your page.
